Tub Grinders

IT’S SIMPLE. With the ROTO GRIND’S unique grinding method, very few moving parts are required. Fewer moving parts means less upkeep. USES LESS HORSEPOWER. The long hammer, shear plate system of the ROTO GRINDuses much less horsepower than conventional screen-type grinders, especially in damp or wet material. This means that there will be less strain on your tractor, no power take-off problems and less fuel consumed to do your grinding.

USES

  • Hay and straw
  • Ear corn
  • Small grains
  • Cardboard and paper
  • Wood chips and bark
  • Silaged bales

GRIND WHEN IT IS CONVENIENT FOR YOU. Because the ROTO GRIND is a simple, durable unit, there is no need to grind large stock piles in advance. No waiting for the custom grinder to arrive; and remember, fresh ground forage is more palatable than stored material and there is less weather loss, too.

Ask for a demonstration. We think you will be surprised at how economical this ROTO GRIND is and how well it works in all kinds of conditions with less horsepower required.

WHY THE ROTO GRIND?

The ROTO GRIND is a durable, simple, versatile grinder that handles all types of forage, wet or dry as well as ear corn, shelled corn and small grains (with attachments) either high moisture or dry. The ROTO GRIND utilizes a unique shear plate system in conjunction with long, heavy hammers to produce a simple machine that doesn’t rquire screens and uses much less horsepower than conventional machines. Just add up these advantages to owning your own ROTO GRIND.
IT WORKS. Even when nature puts extra moisture on your forage you can still grind with the ROTO GRIND. No screens to plug with wet material.

DOES GRINDING PAY?

You bet it does! Research stations and university tests have proven that grinding your forage saves up to 30% in feed waste and in addition, feeder cattle will gain up to one pound per head per day more when fed ground forage over underground forage. Grinding also enables you to blend inexpensive, poor quality forage that cattle would not consume into your feeding ration for utilization of feeds that are normally thrown away or used for bedding. Grinding your feed also knocks most of the mold out of the hay.

HAY AND STRAW LESS HORSEPOWER The ROTO GRIND has no belt, chain or gear box drives to wear out. This simplicity of design allows the ROTO GRIND to be sold at such a low price.
EAR CORN SIMPLE The most astonishing feature of the ROTO GRIND is its lower horsepower requirements and smoother operation. The rotor cuts across the tub floor from the outside to the center and much of the grinding is done in the tub before the material reaches the main grinding area. The rotor is three to five times heavier per inch of shear length than competitive machines and this extra weight builds inertia that makes the ROTO GRIND the smoothest running grinder on the market and the easiest on tractor power take-offs.
SMALL GRAINS:SHELLED CORN, MILO, WHEAT & BARLEY SMOOTHER
CARDBOARD & PAPER HIGH CAPACITY The capacity will suprise you. Ten to twenty ton per hour in fairly dry conditions with 70 to 80 horsepower can be expected. Also the ROTO GRIND uses shear plates instead of screens which makes it even more desirable in wet, tough conditions.
WOOD CHIPS & BARK NO SCREENS
SILAGED BALES EASIER ON TRACTORS Individually adjustable shear plates replace screens to control particle size, these shear plates are adjustable from ground level and can be adjusted with speed and ease.
HIGH QUALITY Now Available: A grinder that can grind tough wet grass hay to eliminate waste and improve the efficiency of the TMR mixers. Now available with HEAVY DUTY HARD SURFACED havvers standard equipment for better performance in wet consitions and a lot longer hammer life
