The Roto Grind Grain Grinders are high capacity grain processors that allow you to control the consistency & size of grind without sacrificing capacity. University tests show increased milk production when using finely ground corn over rolled corn in the feed ration. Milk gains of 4 to 8 pounds per cow per day have been achieved!

The size of grind is easily adjusted. With -9- shear plates available, feed can be processed from a coarse grind, where grain is just cracked, to a very fine grind, where it is almost flour. The water valve kit allows water to be added as the grain is processed. Adding water gives you the option to raise moisture content to desired levels & controls dust during grinding. All types of grain, both high moisture & dry, can be processed by Roto Grind Grain Grinders!

Grinder Settings- Shelled corn can usually be classified into -3- stages:

Fine Grind– Almost all corn is a very fine grind similar to corn meal with the largest kernel pieces about 1/8″ in size
Medium Grind– About 1/3 of the product is very fine with the rest in 1/4 to 1/2 size kernels.
Coarse Grind– 90-95% cracked kernels with about 5% unground and about 5% ground fine.

The capacity ranges listed cover an average of the grinder settings described above. For a given horsepower range, the lower capacity will be for a finer grind and the upper capacity will be for a coarser grind. Moisture content will also have some effect on the output capacity of the machines. The Roto Grinder Tub Grinders, when properly equipped, will have the same capacities as shown.

Rollermill

Product Overview

Rollermills are designed to maximize the nutritional value of feed. Built with durable, heavy-gauge materials, Farm King rollermills deliver top-quality processed grain with minimum maintenance and low operating costs.

Features

Rolled or crimped grain is an excellent way to increase the nutritional value of grain, making it easier for animals to digest for faster weight gain with more weight gain per bushel.

Available in three sizes, rollermills are capable of processing up to 300 bushels per hour. A manual feed gate sets the flow into the rollermill and the adjustable tensioner determines the thickness of finished grain. Double leaf springs ensure constant, even roller pressure.

Machine-grooved rollers are available in steel or chrome and can be inexpensively re-machined up to three times if damaged or worn. An optional magnet removes nails and other metal objects from the grain and prevents them from damaging the rollers. An electric motor or PTO drives the 85 and 100. The 180 is PTO driven and can be equipped with a transport with 15″ wheels and a 12′ hydraulic discharge auger that swings a full 180 degrees.

Hammermill

Product Overview

Hammermills are designed to maximize the nutritional value of feed. Built with durable, heavy-gauge materials, hammermills deliver top-quality processed grain with minimum maintenance and low operating costs.

Features

Grinding grain fresh every day means animals get the most nutritional value. A hammermill does the job quickly and economically, grinding as much as 75 bushels per hour. An adjustable motor mount fits most 5 to 7.5 horsepower electric motors. The sliding feed gate controls the amount of grain entering the mill and an optional magnet removes nails and other metal objects from grain and prevents damage to the hammermill. An optional discharge hopper makes it easy to move processed grain.

The hammers are made from high quality carbon steel for extra-long life. They can be reversed for use in four different positions for even longer wear.
